When I was 13 years-old I sat in the stands at Wings Stadium in Kalamazoo, looked up at the press box, and vowed that I would one day be there. I've been fortunate enough to work in and around the alphabet soup of hockey leagues -- NHL, ECHL, UHL, IHL, CCHA -- since 2000. I've done PR and radio for the K-Wings, written about former Red Wings great Darren McCarty, and covered the NHL debuts of two players with Kalamazoo connections -- LA's Scott Parse and Pittsburgh's Mark Letestu -- during the 2009-10 season.
